The Korean Society for Journalism & Communication Studies (KSJCS) is a non-profit, academic organization for scholars, students, and professionals interested in the study, education, and application of journalism and communication. Founded in 1959 by Professor Bok-San Kwak, KSJCS is the oldest and largest national association striving to promote journalism and communication scholarship and to maintain the freedom of expression in Korea.

The purposes of the KSJCS are to provide a forum for the development, conduct, and evaluation of journalism and communication research, to facilitate exchange and debate among scholars and professionals on journalism and communication-related issues, and to advance the highest standard for education in such fields.
